DEPARTMENT OF CLINICAL NUTRITION AND DIETETICS

Nutrition is essential for good health and growth. Better nutrition is linked to better newborn, child, and mother health, a stronger immune system, a safer pregnancy and birth, a lower risk of lifestyle diseases, and longer life. In the treatment of a number of health disorders, proper nutrition is also an important aspect of therapeutic and preventive health care management. A well-balanced diet satisfies all of a person's nutritional needs, boosting immunity and lowering the risk of disease.

The AHRI's Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics section is responsible for enhancing patients' nutrition, health, and well-being in order to improve their clinical management. Patients receive evidence-based medical nutrition therapy from a team of highly skilled dieticians.



OUR SERVICES


The department provides comprehensive and customized high quality nutrition care services to all age groups and offers its services to both outpatients and inpatients.

OPD SERVICES


● Normal and therapeutic dietary approach to prevent diseases and manage health. Our Dieticians carryout a complete nutritional assessment and screening using a body composition analyzer and to assist with a variety of nutrition related diseases and concerns. We offer the following services:
● Expert advice on lifestyle modifications
● Obesity management - weight loss clinic
● OPD-Executive checkup
● Diabetes nutrition education including gestational diabetes
● Diet counseling for other lifestyle diseases such as Heart diseases, renal diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, cancer, dyslipidemia etc.
● Eating disorder therapy,
● Dietary management for pregnancy, lactation, food allergy, PCOD, gluten sensitivity, metabolic disorders etc.

● Screening and assessment of patient's nutritional status
● Nutrition intervention for malnutrition identified patients
● Well established pediatric nutrition support-Offers pediatric assessment, growth monitoring
● Treat childhood obesity, global development delay and nutrition education for the parent, work with a smile train to provide nutrition support for the children with cleft lip and cleft palate.
● Supplementary nutrition support/enteral nutrition.
● Special Nutrition care plan and support for critically ill patients who are mechanically ventilated and to provide specific enteral feeds according to the clinical condition

Get in shape weight loss program is a three to six-month weight management plan designed to assist individuals in maintaining a healthy weight and changing their lifestyle by implementing new healthy habits. People with metabolic health issues including pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, PCOS, thyroid etc., who struggle to control their weight may find it particularly beneficial. Our team of doctors, nutritionists, physiotherapists and psychologists will create a program primarily based on individual objectives to help you reach your optimum weight, health and wellness.

1. To enrol in the program, you must make an appointment in advance.Make an appointment by phone or on our website between 9 am and 9 pm

2. The first step in your weight loss journey is meeting with a clinical nutritionist or dietician for an initial assessment.



This assessment will include

Body composition analysis


a. BMI, visceral fat, Fat percentage, Water percentage, BMR, muscle mass, bone density, metabolic age and other information
b. EVALUATION OF CURRENT AND PAST MEDICAL HISTORY REASON FOR WEIGHT GAIN, Exercise PATTERN, DIET HISTORY AND BIOCHEMICAL INVESTIGATIONS

3. Subsequent to seeking advice from a physiotherapist and psychologist for fitness and stress evaluation respectively

4. The length of the program will be determined by how muchWeight has to be lost after all assessments have been completed.

5. PROGRAM INCLUDES: 4 VISITS WITH NUTRITIONIST, PHYSIOTHERAPIST and psychologist ( FOR EVERY MONTH TILL THE PROGRAM ENDS)
